Due to Covid 19, SHMountaineering will be maintaining all activities in line with government guidance and this will be continually updated as guidelines further develop.
We are taking all the necessary precautions to keep everyone safe whilst participating in our courses.
What you need to know:
Maintain 2-meters apart throughout the session, including all training and coaching.
Equipment / Maintenance
Equipment can be provided if required. All equipment provided will have been cleaned appropriately prior to use.
Wash your hands
Avoid touching your face and wash your hands for 20 seconds using soap and hot water whenever possible. During the day on activity use hand sanitiser when required (for example, after each climb, after opening gates, etc).
Transport & Parking
Park sensibly when arriving at the venue, trying to maintain social distancing. Transport will not be provided due to the guidelines, so you will need to arrange your own transport to and from the venue.
To reduce the spread of germs when you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue, or your sleeve (not your hands) if you don’t have a tissue, throw the tissue in a bin immediately. Then wash your hands or use a hand sanitising gel.
Safety for all of our clients and staff is paramount
All activities will be delivered inline with government guidelines relating to Covid 19. Our risk assessments and safe working practices will allow us to structure the activity accordingly. We will maintain the 2m social distancing guideline throughout the sessions (unless in exceptional circumstances).
As mentioned above, in some circumstances where social distancing cannot be maintained the wearing of a face covering may be required.
Additionally, wearing of a face covering throughout the session is optional and is at the client’s / staff’s discretion.
Clients will be asked to provide their own equipment where possible. We will minimise the sharing of equipment throughout the activity. After climbing, all equipment will be placed in a sealed box and cleaned appropriately before the next session.
All clients wishing to participate in any of the courses provided by SHMountaineering will be required to have been free from symptoms in the last 21 days prior to the date of activity.
Clients will be asked to confirm that they acknowledge and accept that participation in any circumstances where the possibility of interaction is higher will therefore expose them to an increased chance of infection, relative to not doing so.
